Tile care

Care

• Sweep or vacuum grit. Damp-mop glazed porcelain with a pH-neutral tile cleaner.
• Do not use vinegar, bleach, or abrasive pads on a routine. They etch grout and some finishes.
• Glazed porcelain does not need sealing. Cement grout often does; follow the grout brand. Natural stone and some unglazed tiles do need a penetrating sealer.
• Clean grout haze with a haze remover, not more acid on a guess.
• In a shower, squeegee glass and tile after use. Standing hard water is what clouds the room, not the porcelain.

Warranty

• Elysium first-quality tile follows a manufacturing-defect warranty typical of decorative houses — inspect before setting; labor is not a factory term.
• Mixed-material mosaics (glass, stone, metal) need the care of the most delicate piece in the sheet.
• Keep a labeled sheet for repairs. Shade lots change.

Backsplash care

Care

• Wipe glass, porcelain, and most mosaic backsplashes with a damp microfiber and a pH-neutral cleaner.
• Keep acids and abrasives off natural stone, metallic, and mother-of-pearl accents.
• Grout and mastic need a few days to cure before the first wet clean. After that, dry the joint — do not flood it.
• A glass or stone mosaic may need a penetrating sealer on the grout. The tile face usually does not.

• Same mill terms as the tile section. Glass and stone accents stain and etch if you clean them like a kitchen sink.

Artistic Design Studio warrants materials and labor for one year on work we sold and installed. The mill letter above is separate and often longer. We keep the order so a factory claim has a ticket. See the studio warranty.
